Posted October 27, 201212 yr Hi all.. Yeah I know this is an old touchscreen but I picked it up used - however no manualI notice when I power it up, the Wireless light does not come on.. Would this indicate the wireless is broke, or is there an on/off sequence or switch that I might not be seeing.Next question is - In looking at the network configuration I don't see a place for selecting the wireless network or providing the SSIDAny assistance would be greatly appreciated.ThanksCES
October 27, 201212 yr More>Settings>NetworkI've never seen the antenna light ever come on but that's on the V2s
October 28, 201212 yr Author Thx. Any programming suggestions. How to get unit to see/select network ? Thx again
October 28, 201212 yr Author Got it. Saw a much older post indicating the wireless card in these units was known for coming loose. All fixed and online now
October 28, 201212 yr So the WiFi light is now on? I have several V2s and I don't think that light ever comes on. Maybe I just never noticed...
October 29, 201212 yr ^ lol perhaps, perhaps not. Never quite pinpointed it but I've seen a screen on one system do this then brought to another and LED turned on.Wonder if it has to do with WiFi settings - is your WiFi WPA?
October 29, 201212 yr ^Nope- still on WEP. Literally, none of the 4 units have a com light on and never have.
October 29, 201212 yr Odd. I have a WEP just for some older TS so I'll try and dig up an old one and connect it to that as well as my normal WPA setup - see if it makes a difference.Let you know.
October 29, 201212 yr ^I'm guessing it's something dropped in later OS revs. OP, what rev you are running?
November 1, 201212 yr Nope, my system certainly isn't on an older OS and I have the light - both on WEP and WPA. Did see it behave oddly on WEP - as in green when it had weak signal, orange when it was 100% etc.
