abeasst Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 How can I go about monitoring the CO2 pressure of the CO2 bottle in my kegerator. I want to get a notification if it drops below a certain pressure. I've already got a contact sensor monitoring the temperature of the kegerator.
wingzz Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 use a pressure switch, wired into a contact switch

This would be awesome.
C4RVA Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I had a kegerator that used an analog pressure sensor connected to a basic stamp micro controller. You could integrate that via rs 232 to c4. This would require a large amount of effort to integrate.
CFUG Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 ^Wow, talk about taking the long way around... Hobbs pressure switch connected to either a CA device or directly to a HC.
C4RVA Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 A pressure switch only gives you an on or off reading depending on what pressure the switch activates. My setup senses the actual pressure in psi and can pass that information to a c4 controller. Think on a light switch versus a light dimmer.
wingzz Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 well per what the OP was asking for " I want to get a notification if it drops below a certain pressure" a pressure switch will work perfectly and much easier to set up
