rydbeckc
What is the best way to adjust the gains on a V3 amp? There is a big difference between the levels on the various input sources. Also is there a way to program in HE for the volume to come on at a set level?

msgreenf
There is a free app that lets you do this via the c4 interface on the tv. Search the 4store for it.
ILoveC4
You can program a default volume level for each room in Composer HE, under the rooms properties. You can also adjust the gain in Composer our with the app available free of charge in the app store.

I have the app and I can see where to set the room volume but I don't see where to adjust the gains. Is this a separate app? What is the name of it? Where do I see it in Composer? Cyknight
The "app" they speak of is a 4Store App for 7"C4 touchscreens. Of course a dealer can set these gain levels as well through ComposerPro if you don't have one of those.
RyanE
The app is the "Control4 Equalizer" App.It works best on 7" Control4 touchscreens or on the MyHome app.It works passingly on the on-screen display.RyanE
RyanE
Oh, and it's available in the 4Store for free.RyanE
rydbeckc
I see where I can adjust all the volumes and output gains in V3 AMP Properties in HE. I guess that I to have my dealer help me with the input gains. Thanks!!
CFUG
^Only parametric gains across the response spectrum can be adjusted. I have never seen amp channel-input gains setting anywhere in Composer.
CFUG
Also, if you go to "room" Properties, check the ENABLE DEFAULT VOLUME tick box. There are discrete settings for audio and video. That was your second question, right?
rydbeckc
^Only parametric gains across the response spectrum can be adjusted. I have never seen amp channel-input gains setting anywhere in Composer. Then What do you power users recommend? Program the default settings in HE for each room with a default volume based on the source? Example: The normal listening volume for my Tivo source is around 30-35. If you change to Sonos (and most of the other sources) 20 is normal and 35 is Party Volume:lol:.
Cyknight
Best setup for this is a Matrix in front of the Amp, the Martix has it's own input gain settings.
CFUG
^^You can try that. Lot of permutations though... The matrix idea is a cleaner way of dealing with various sources. I don't suppose anybody but us "power users" would do that
thecodeman
Looks like you can do this on the amp too, page 19 #3: http://www.hometechcolombia.com/Manuales/C4/A-V/Multi%20Channel%20Amp.pdf
CFUG
^Nice piece of info. Lets hope the "optional" means it's up to user discretion...
