Taylor
I don't know what the issue is, but I replaced a media controller in our show room with a new one. Saved the program and loaded it to the new device. Seems to work fine, except I am unable to use zigbee. I try to learn system remotes and dimmers and nothing happens. I checked the status of the Media Controller and everything is enabled. I power cycled, used system update (i'm on the most recent version) but I'm stumped. I'll probably make a call into tech support here in a bit, but does anyone have any other ideas as to what I can do to figure this out?
maxspivak
Try to remove MC in Composer, add it back, and reidentify it.Take a look at this: http://www.mdaoe.com/smf/index.php?topic=28.msg96#msg96G'luck,Max
Taylor
You are a man among men. That did it. FIX: When updating the Media Controller from a previous state, for some reason the Zigbee Status is displayed as: Unknown. Removing the MC from the program, re-learning it and re-doing the connections fixes the problem. Thanks for the quick responce Maxspivak!
maxspivak
Really glad it worked for you. Drove me nuts when I first had the problem. Couldn't sleep at night!
Taylor
I just could not figure it out myself. Everything seemed right. Good to know though
maxspivak
Yeah, I had the same problem. I kept looking at all the other zigbee devices trying to reregister them. Then something Oregun said on the other forum got me thinking about the MC itself. Eventually I figured it out.
Taylor
Ok, I had this problem again today, after updating an old MC version. Don't know why it happened again, but I snaped a screenshot of it before I fixed it. Here is what it will look like under System Design:
maxspivak
Yup. That's exactly what I had too.
jgowda
you can also go to the status area in system manager(software) and re-enable the zigbee server, that's what i did and refresh the system and it worksjay
