2N Helios SIP Door Station

Has anyone got a Helios 2N SIP door station to work with the intercom?

Does anyone have good documentation on the C4 intercom/ Sip proxy?

I've been able to get the above door station to register to the C4 proxy using the 3rd party driver and even make a call to another 3rd party device (3CX on iphone ) also registered to C4,

but unfortunately the default name on a c4 touchscreen ""sip:{macaddress}@{ipaddress}:{port}"" is too long for the field in the door station that is dialled when the push button is selected on the door station.

If no one has any other ideas, I was hoping there was a way to modify the username of the TS to something shorter...OR create an alias for the touch screen

FYI - If anyone wants another option to C4 Door station I got the 2N Helios IP SIP Station working with control4 Intercom.

I just had to upgrade the door station firmware to 2.3 which was very easy and it allowed a larger SIP URI to accommodate the particularly long C4 touch-screen name.

I find myself wanting an intercom door station, but there is no CAT5 ran to my doorbell (I'm not happy about that). Only the traditional doorbell wire. Does anyone know if it might be possible to somehow power a wireless door station over the standard doorbell wiring?

Dan,

Ive got video enabled and can see it on the PC, but I have the older C4 TS. so cannot test with C4 yet.

voice quality is not too good, I know units are good, so hoping its just the fact im still on a hc 300

I would LOVE an intercom door station as well Dan, but I also don't have cat5 to the doorbell. If there are any work arounds for this, I'm all ears.

Do you only have the standard 2 wires a doorbell has?

It's pricey, but you can do it with their MX 2Wire installation, as they have a module with the 2wire receiver.

Cool, but not really feasible. You'd have to mount that other box on the front of the house, then wire the door station off of that.

Cyknight, are you saying you could just cut the wire on the transformer and splice in the doorbell wire? That's an interesting thought...

WiFi signals must be very strong and stable to support Video Intercom.

and all u need is 12-24 volt DC to power

mmm.. looks like the 2wire "receiver" is built into one of the modules, ie:
