jtsawyer
I just figure if we are going to spend all this time creating connections, editing drivers, and making the connections in Composer, why not have an option available that will generate a report for each device and what each input or output was connected to. We could then give this report (sheets of paper) to our installers and let them connect everything.Sounds like it would be easy, very useful too. chambrick
You know the power of community is the sharing of knowledge so we can all duplicate it and in so doing increase our profits with less effort.I think we need to put some basic system designs together with schematics and full docs as packages that we all can sell and operate from. I just haven't had the time to put into that yet. Anyone else going or already started down that route?

Anyone else going or already started down that route?I'm with you, Corbin.FYI, all of these "community items" can be posted in the "General Files" section that was recently setup for this purpose. Plus, if you have images in photo format (.jpg, .gif, etc.), there's a nice gallery view available to everyone now. Other formats (pdf, cad) aren't pleasantly viewable in the gallery, and they can still be added and downloaded by all.
maxspivak
I suspect you all have seen these in training. But I found these diagrams very useful:* Wireless Distributed Audio - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0004-04.htm* Wired Distributed Audio - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0005-04.htm* Wireless Zigbee Lighting - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0006-04.htm.This diagram shows Mini Touch Panel acting as a controller. Currently, Mini Touch Panel does not include controller functionality, and one of the standard controllers (Media Controller, HomeTheater Controller, Receiver Controller) is required.* Wired Ethernet Lighting - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0007-04.htmThis diagram shows Mini Touch Panel acting as a controller. Currently, Mini Touch Panel does not include controller functionality, and one of the standard controllers (Media Controller, HomeTheater Controller, Receiver Controller) is required.* Home Theater (C4 Receiver) - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0008-04.htm (of course the receiver is no longer a planned product, but you get the idea)* Home Theater using your receiver - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0009-04.htm. This scenario would also work if you have the Media Controller.* High Voltage Relay - http://www.control4.com/documents/technotes/0012-05.htmCheers,Max

maxspivak
Andy, perhaps a sticky post with these diagrams would be useful. Just a thought.
andy.cytexone
How about I move it to "General Files" (since these are valuable diagrams) and make it a sticky? If you want, post it there, and I'll make it sticky. Let me knwo your thoughts.

Just a thought.I posted this as a sticky in the "General Files" forum and gave you credit. I believe this is the most appropriate place for this post. Great idea, Max.
