Posted July 8, 201312 yr This is probably more of a security system question than C4, but hoping someone here might know. When adding an IT-100 to a DSC panel, is it just plug & play? Or is there something I have to do to get the panel to recognize the module?
July 8, 201312 yr Its been awhile for me but i think you just install driver, bind the connection and identify number of ports Edited July 8, 201312 yr by Letran
July 8, 201312 yr From the panels perspective, as that seems to be what you're asking about, disconnect power to the panel, connect the ict100 and power back up and it should recognize the module.
July 8, 201312 yr Author Thanks Letran & Cyknight. I'm still at the first step of trying to get the module to communicate with the panel. Cyknight, I tried your suggestion and I end up with a solid green light on the module. Which was a good start, but I know blinking green means successful communication. Any other suggestions or things I can check?
July 9, 201312 yr Green blink is on successful com with automation if I remember correctly, not with the panel.
July 11, 201312 yr ^Incorrect. 0.5Hz LED flash indicates module is powered and is receiving/sending data with alarm panel. Connection of the IT100 to the Keybus is made with the panel powered down (bat disconnected as well). OP, are you sure the R-B-Y-G color code is correct on the terminals?
