SMHarman
HiHas anyone installed the Control4 MyHome app on the HD / HD+, since you can now install from the Google Play store on the Nook.Has anyone used the Android for Nook kits that remove the Nook Custom firmware / OS on the Nook Colour / Tablet and then installed the Control4 MyHome app? Both seem an excellent solution to having tablet / touch screen access to C4 at a low price point. Thanks
ILoveC4
Buy the Nexus 7 instead.
SMHarman
Buy the Nexus 7 instead.Nexus 7 = $230 ishNookHD = $109So I could buy two Nook HD for every 1 Nexus 7. Or I could two giving a controller in two rooms instead of one room and sharing it. Is it twice as good? Especially when tablet use in our house is quite limited at this time so chasing the greatest when at most it is used around the home for light browsing and movies on planes (and as a reader) is not really necessary. That also has the 7in screen. The HD+ is only $149 and has the 9in HD display.I also already have the Nook Color and am wondering if someone else has rooted it and run MyHome on it or if I would be a guinea pig. ILoveC4
I don't know what you value your time at, but I can tell you I'd rather pay $120 more to have a device that is going to be supported in the way I'm going to use it, get updates, not require a bunch of dinking around to get to work initially, etc...Of course if you enjoy trying to hack it to the way you want to use it and don't care about the hassle involved in future APP/OS updates, then go for it! Let us know how it works out.

Let us know how it works out.Huh,For the Nook HD / HD+ they already have the ability to go to the play store and download the C4 App. I don't see much dinking around to get it to work there, same dinking as you would do on the Nexus 7. I was just wondering if anyone had done it!I agree that there is dinking around with the nook colour but as I own the device and that is therefor fully depreciated, the cost comparison is $30 for the NFA card vs $230 for a Nexus 7. Even valuing my time at $200 an hour that is worth some dinking around. The question was has anyone done this, not a request for alternate suggestions. I'm guessing your answer to the original question is, No, I have not done this but I know it works with the Nexus 7.I guess I should dink into my nearest BN and see if the app downloads. ILoveC4
You're right...I haven't done it.I didn't realize the Nook had access to the regular play store...my wife's Kindle Fire does not. In reading your OP I thought you were saying you were going to need to flash a different version of Android, not the "Nook" version.I know people have put MyHome on a Nook before...I've seen it. I just didn't discuss the logistics of how it was done and what was required.
