Mark LaBelle
We want to expand our listening to an area of the house that I didn't add in-ceiling speakers - the Master Bath. I was thinking of just getting a Play3 or a Play1 and adding the Sonos driver, but they I was thinking for consistency, is it better to just go with Control4 and add my own speakers, say some AudioEngine or some small form factor speaker. It's really for my wife for listening to in the bath, so not audiophile grade components here. As another point in my decision, Sonos is my customer and we do get a healthy discount, but more importantly I buy from who buys from us. :-) Any feedback from the group on which would be easiest and the better long term solution? Thanks, Mark
cdepaola
I always buy from customers as long as they are current on their bills and are more then a once a year buyer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mark LaBelle
Good feedback.... though unlike you, I don't care how often they buy. Loyalty is key in business. As long as they do think of us whenever the need arises. But being current is a most definite.
cdepaola
I think either work well but the sonos has more to offer, at least right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cyknight
Speakerpoints work well enough, but have limitations. Speaker point would be easier, and would be seamless if you have Control4 amplifiers etc. At this point, Sonos of the two is likely the better option, if you want it now but want to be fairly future proof. The biggest advantage of the speaker point would be that it allows the system to have that zone 100% in synch, while feeding a Sonos may mean delay - if that matters you'll have to decide. Matt Lowe
sounds like you dont have sonos any where else in the house? If not i would say stick with c4 products for the integration into the rest of the home. Also would be more aesthetically pleasing since you can have in wall or in ceiling speakers. If you have sonos in other rooms then you might want to go that route to add to the current system.
club411
I just ditched 6 speaker points for sonos. They never worked right. Sonos is true plug and play and have not even a hiccup.
