BrettB0727
My extremely old garage door opener finally died, so I am looking to get a new one... Does anyone have a really good garage door opener with good C4 integration, that they can recommend? Thanks!
cdepaola
They can all integrate, one way or another, and the only integration they have is open/close. With that said I still have to push the Liftmaster 8550. It's super quiet, has a battery backup, and can auto close after a preset time. Yes the last two things can be done via C4. As long as it has power. For me it's a nice safety backup to have the battery and auto close feature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cyknight
For ease, having something that does NOT have advanced keypads (think time/temperature display) and/or an internet gateways is the safe bet - those that do CAN be somewhat harder to integrate. Beyond that, as per above, there has yet to be a door we haven't been able to integrate.
CFUG
I'm happy with the LM DC-motored jobs. As said, anything can be automated.
BrettB0727
Liftmaster 8550 looks pretty good, and has good reviews. Thanks! I would like to add a keypad outside of the garage, so we can walk in and out of it as well. Are people using the garage company keypads? Or something different, that has deeper Control4 integration. ericscales
If you go with one of the MyQ enabled models, I have a driver that will control it. Let me know if you are interested and I can help you out with a demo key and all that.
jeffwiggins
I have a garage door opener which has a MyQ sticker on it. How can I check if it's enabled? I would be interested in a demo of the driver if possible
