chriscannes
Hi I wondered if someone could give me some advice on mixing older and new equipment? Existing system has an hc300 and looking to get an hc800. I need some I/o and music switching abilities, can I add an avm m1cb? What software version will I be limited too? For more I/o capability can I add a cxm rcr1b? And for a speaker point can I add either the AVE Raa 1b or avg Raa 1b ? thecodeman
You're talking about media controllers, the old contact/relay extender... If it were me I would keep the HC300 and use the 800 you plan to get for director and everything possible, and use the 300 for additional I/O (relays, contacts, IR, serial) and audio, and navigator if you have to have it. The other stuff I can't really recommend getting - if you need more I/O the better choice is the I/O Extender C4-IOX-E-B. Using any of the media controllers and other equipment that has been end of life for a while now is going to limit your upgrade abilities.
