snipboy
I need to pick up a couple IR emitters for an Apple TV and PS3. I see a lot of the "dual IR" emitters available for sale. Is it possible to use this to control the two different systems? I know I need the Logitech unit to control the PS3.
alanchow
Dual ir emitters are used for one control system to control two devices using the one IR port. Control; can easily do dual emitters.
ILoveC4
Just make sure they're the same voltage. Buying duals is a safe bet. I've spliced multiple ones together to make my own and one used two different styles... Didn't work. When they're the same brand it works fine. Cyknight
Take care: HC250 perhaps the HC800 CANNOT use serial wired dual IR emitters - they must be parallel
LSDave
wiring any pair of emitters in series instead of parallel would be silly. Only getting half the voltage to each emitter.
Cyknight
Yes, unfortuantely there's a number of pre-fab options out there that ARE in series.
