drmark12pa
Just noticed one of my standard Control4 light switches had the LEDs go out and no longer controls the lighting it's connected to. I'm no electrician but no change has been made to any other switches/lights in the same circuit (it's in a 2 gang box with another Control4 switch working just fine). Is there any way to know if the switch is toast? I'm not too happy with a $100 light switch failing in so over a year.
RyanE
Control4 equipment has a 2 year warranty if purchased through a dealer. If it has gone bad, your dealer can replace it under RMA. RyanE
Cyknight
No light no control isn't a good sign.Just to be sure check if there's no breakers off. Also make sure wiring behind it didn't come loose (this would be bad). If neither, have it replaced.
Tokead
I've had a couple stop working on me. i took them out, tapped the side, and they started to work again. They were the older model. if a year old, replace under warranty
jillmark99
I've had a couple of dimmers with a similar problem. The LED lights function upper and lower when respective buttons are pushed but the red load wire has live power all the time. I had one just yesterday that needed replaced for this problemI didn't even know there was an issue until my Neighbour came over and told me my side garage light was constantly on. What kind of light is it and how large is the load on the switch?Ive had several where the relay gets fused together and its either stuck on always on or off.Granted, almost all of these were tied into flourescent lighting. YMMV.
RyanE
fluorescent lighting can have a very large inrush current, which can cause relays to fuse on. Typically, this is the "can't turn the lights off" problem, not the "can't turn the lights on". RyanE

John DH
I just had this problem. 4 gang of control4 switches (three dimmers, one on/off). The three dimmers are dead- no led indicator lights, and no control over the lighting. The three dimmer switches are on a different circuit in the home's electrical distribution than the single switch that is still working. All breakers are shut and verified 115 VAC to the dead switches with a multi meter. Borrowed a new dimmer switch from my control4 dealer. Installed it, shut the breaker, verified 115 VAC to the switch and still no LED indication and no light control. Attempted 9-4-9 factory reset and that didn't work either. My control4 dealer said I should contact an electrician. Any ideas?
