Elvis
Dealer installed new IP driver for new DirecTV box. When I look at the room, I see DIRECTV (with blue DirecTV logo icon) along with the old DirecTV and satellite dish icon. All programming is against DirecTV not DIRECTV, and of course it matters. My question is, if I have my dealer delete "DirecTV" will the programming use "DIRECTV" instead? I guess there is nothing to lose -- I'm either going to have to reprogram it all or not... To me, he should've handled all this, or at least warned me (expensive strike 3 for Bjorn's).
msgreenf
I don't understand what you are asking names are just names but not the id's of devices. Name changes don't impact programming but new drivers do Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Elvis
@msgreenfMy room has both DirecTV and DIRECTV as two devices in the same room. Two different drivers, but same name. I can't delete it in HE can I? The old one was IR and not needed. The new driver is further down above the AVR-X3300W.
Elvis
Nevermind, really. Just need to have @StroTek LLC delete the IR driver for me. Maybe the old programming will work. Maybe not. Nothing to lose as that old driver is no longer in use. I would have thought Bjorn's could have REPLACED the driver and kept the programming intact, but that's all over my head and water under the bridge. control4.texas
This is why pro should be available to end users for a price. Silly mistakes like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
msgreenf
Going from ir to IP is an entire new driver not an upgrade. New programming. Needed Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
knowitall
God that program hurts my eyes. and the old drivers yikes.
Matt Lowe
@msgreenf this had noting to do with the programming being case sensitive. the ip driver is a completely new driver any and all programming related to the old ir driver would no longer function. StroTek LLC
FWIW.. I have found that using the old IR driver to turn the genie mini's on and off works well.. since the IP driver does not support this. And you can only have 3 mini's online at a time That being said.. I always hide them in navigator
