vera/MyQ garage door/composer

All,

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to add a garage door that is connected in the vera controller with the MyQ app?  I cannot find a suitable driver to add them for logging and programming.  I have the same problem with a smoke detector through the vera as well.

You don't need the Vera there's 2 drivers for the myq to integrate it directly with c4

Since Houselogix wasn't interested in answering any phone calls or emails.  I assumed that they wouldn't service anything at all.  I had the wink driver version 1 and it was killing my HC800 with pings and requests.  That is why I was looking for an alternative way to skin this cat.  I also haven't heard about the EDS MyQ driver lately so not sure if that was an option.  Thus, my reason for the question.

Sorry nut right now the houselogix or the relay are the only options

Not 100% ideal, but you can make a virtual device in vera that is a doorlock. Device file type D_DoorLock1.xml and in vera, create 2 scenes when the doorlock is unlocked open the myq and when locked close the myq. Then Set up a driver in C4 to unlock/lock that virtual device. Problem is that there is no feedback/confirmation that the garage door is open or closed this way

I don't suggest going even with the Wink V2.

Well at least the vera solution will actually work lol

Add the extra veg Zwave doorlock relay in C4 and enter in device details of the MYQ garage door in vera .  It will be discovered.  Also add a generic garage door relay in C4. Bind the zwave door lock to the Vera controller and the zwave relay to the generic garage door relay.  This will work but don't rely on this setup for accurate monitoring.  I find there are false alarms from time to time and there can be long delays before garage door status is updated.

I follwed these instructions, but when I hit OPEN door under the Garage door, it does not work. It does work fine to open and close within Vera so the problem is between C4 and the door

 

1. Identified Vera controller - status says connected

2. Added Garage Door Relay

3. Added zwave door lock. Added Room/Section/Device and ID updates in the ID section so connected to controller

4. Bound Zwave door lock to Vera and zwave relay to Garage Door

5. Hit OPEN door on Garage door relay (double click and hit OPEN door) and nothing happens.

 

Any ideas?

Eventually I abandoned the vera integration.  I can't remember why exactly (other than very unreliable and delayed status) but I abandoned it and decided on the Houselogix MYQ driver.  It was the only driver that was available at the time and it worked.  It still works.  It's not the newest and most feature rich but it does the job and is reliable.  Moving forward,  I highly recommend this instead:    https://www.drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/utility/garage-agent-liftmaster/

No headaches and lots of useful options in the driver properties.  If you need this driver I can purchase it for you.

For those trying to get this work, these steps all work, but you must change the Garage Relay to a TOGGLE instead of a Pulse and then it works.

If you open/close the garage door with one of the factory remotes, how long does it take for Control4 to get the feedback?
