I don't know how much earlier. I wasn't in the C4 game back then. Some users on this forum may have experience with it that far back. If you can shell out a few bucks, try to get the V3, otherwise the V2 might suit your needs for a good price elsewhere.

How smooth is the volume stepping?

That is a great deal though, i doubt they will retire the V1 anytime soon like they had to for the old touch panels or controllers since it isnt doing much other than routing and volume

August 31, 20177 yr I believe differences between V1 and V2 audio matrix switch was either a different power supply or fans. Been too long to remember. AMS didn't get 1% volume increments until V3.
