Cosmos outdoor TV

KCWard

Question

Has anyone had any experience with Evervue’s Cosmos line of outdoor TV’s?  I’ve had very little luck finding much in the way of reviews or other information about them on line.  I have found a fair amount of feedback on some of Evervue’s other lines of TV’s (specifically mirror TV’s) and those reviews have been pretty mixed.

I’m pretty new to this C4 system.  It was installed when I built my house last year and to this point I haven’t really changed/added anything.  More than anything I’d like to make sure that this TV is compatible with my C4 system.  –I guess all it really needs to be able to do is turn the TV on and keep in on HDMI 1 as all of my components are in a rack and controlled directly.  –But I do want to at least make sure C4 can turn this tv off/on and whatever other functions I might need.

But if anyone has experience with the Cosmos outdoor tv and has positive or negative feedback on them I would love to hear that as well.

Worst case scenario is that you dealer should be able to learn the IR codes to control the TV.

I have a TV in my pool cabana on an articulating arm that swings outside.  I looked at outdoor specific TVs in the past but from what I read it wasn't clear that it was worth paying the (sometimes huge) premium for an outdoor TV - so I just use a regular TV.  It isn't really exposed to the elements in my instance although it will get some reflected rain from time to time.

What I don't like about Cosmos/Evervue are their business practices. In my opinion they are not ethical. They post on various forums pretending to be customers or interested customers to make it look like there is a "buzz" about their products. This is painfully obvious and insulting to the forum participants. It's better to be honest and simply pitch the product.
