lasvegas_rob
I am seeing some discouraging video from the HTC OSD- has anyone else been experiencing this? On the demo system I have at home, I have a HTC connected to my 61" DLP via a composite cable, and I see a considerable amount of line crawl, however infrequently. I am using the composite cable that came with the HTC, so perhaps I could try a diffferent cable, but it seems strange that it comes and goes - here's an example of when it shows up:If I am sitting at the C4 OSD and I select something, say SAT., and then decide to go back to the OSD, I get strange line crawl, very slight, for about a minute, and then it goes away. I have tried leaving the emitter off the TV so that the TV doesn't change inputs when I select SAT on the remote, just to see if it may have something to do with the video switching, so if i tell the HTC to switch to SAT. and it does, (even without the TV changing inputs) and then I press the 4 on the remote to go back to the OSD, I get the line crawl again. hbinnovations
Try the S-Video output from the HTC. That is what we use and have had no problems. In fact, we set up a HTC via S-Video to a 61" Samsung DLP on Thursday and it looked fine.
All Wired Up!
Is it happening when a device turns on or off? Perhaps a ground loop or your composite cable running parallel to a devices power cord?
danlevine
Try disconnecting the cable wire from the cable box. If that solves the problem you need a ground isolator on your cable wire. If that doesn't solve the problem are the TV and HTC on different circuits?
lasvegas_rob
Nothing is turning off when this happens, just basically when I am pivoting from one source to another. I also noticed it on the white boot-up screen when I reset the HTC. I'll try the S-vid and post a bit later.
lasvegas_rob
Viola! I ran the Svid cable, and that seems to have fixed the slight line crawl issue. It's not happening on the bootup screen, either. Thanks!
