Doorbird TV integration

What is the best way to route DoorBird camera to TV when the button is pressed?
Or to route any of the IP security camera to TV when Doorbird button is pressed.
I'm using Cinigration driver.
What controller do you have behind the TV?

If you upgrade to 2.10 there is an agent that will allow you to do this only works on EA and t3

Easiest way is to run a HDMI from your controller to your TV. If you can't do that then if your Sony has Android TV there may be an app you could use.

My aim is to automate the whole process.

Once the Doorbird button is pressed, the TV should switch to Doorbird camera or another IP camera.

I have Hikvision which is integrated with C4, HDMI matrix connected to all TVs.

If you have the NVR recording the Doorbird, do it this way. The integration is so much better. Plus you are not limited to the lower resolution streams that you need for Control4 as they can't handle the HD feeds.

Don't bother messing with the controller feed. You can use the snapshot driver if you want and capture what source you have prior to door ringing. Then choose to switch back on time, door opening, button press.

Send Command Control4 to room X
Delay 2 seconds (you can adjust this depending on the time it takes to switch)
Jump to Camera X in Navigator X for 30 seconds (You do this using the Navigation agent)
Delay 15 seconds (You can adjust depending on how long you want the camera feed before it returns to your activity)
Send Command Recall to Room X (This will take you back to your activity)

Works like a charm.

I want to feed the camera to the TV via HDMI, not necessarily the Doorbird camera. (all the camera including Doorbird are connected to the NVR).  All TVs are connected to HDMI matrix. As I'm using Composer HE, I'm unable to find advance programming documents to illustrate how to route the camera feed to a specific TV/Room.

Is your NVR connected to your matrix?

If so program the following:

When doorbell is pushed:

Take snapshot of "room" (where you want to show the camera on tv)

Select NVR as the source in "Room"

      Select Doorbird Camera on NVR

delay a certain amount of time of how long you want the camera up

recall snapshot to return the room back to what it was doing before.

I'm waiting to decide between the Doorbird and DS-2 Mini.

I love my DS2 Mini.. I would pick it over the doorbird. UNLESS you have to have video to your phone of whoever rang the doorbell.. then you are stuck with doorbird
