Zakuk Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Hi everyone, new on this forum. I have a big room with four pairs (8) of speakers. How do I go about binding them in Composer? Could not find anything on that subject... cheers
sonic30101 Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 What type of amp drives them? Is there an audio matrix? Programmatically media scene agent is my go to, but if you have an audio matrix you can use y adapters and feed a single output to multiple amp inputs
Zakuk Posted May 30, 2018 Author Posted May 30, 2018 Hi there, thanks for reply. Yes, there is a Triad 24x24 audio matrix and a number of Triad 8 and 4 zone amps
twmoonly Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 If those speakers will always be on the same source I would just use Y adapters so no programming is involved. You could use two zones on an amp for 4 speakers each.
livitup Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 In Composer you bind them to whatever they're connected to. Smart *** answer, sure, but true... The better question is what do you want driving these 8 speakers? Same thing always? Individual control (maybe to set different volume levels on each pair)? Once you figure out how you want them to be driven, the physical connections will get sorted out, and then the Composer bindings will follow.
JSTRONG Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Another way to do it is to use the global input on the triad amps. That is what I do for a large room. Just assign the 4 zones of speakers to the global input using the dip switch
Crustyloafer Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 ^^^ This, just use the global input on the Triad amp. You would connect the output from the matrix for that room to Input 1 on the amp as that is always part of the global input group and then set inputs 2, 3 & 4 to be part of global input group using dip switches on amp. Then the 4 pairs of speakers would connect to Outputs 1-4 on the amp. Job done.
