configurable keypad/dimmer programming

I have a configurable keypad dimmer and the volume up and down arrows seem to take forever to move the volume.  Is there a way to increase the increments they adjust the volume so each press moves it by 1 or 2 instead of a half?

in programing go to the keypad button and 

when pressed> go to the room and in commands. start volume up. when released stop volume up

That way it is a press and hold without needing a binding

And if that doesn’t work all that well then use the on press event to set the current volume to current volume + 5 (or 2 or whatever).
