bsanf3 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Wyze Came v2 review: You get a lot of webcam for just $20 also saw they have a PTZ model now.
Pounce Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 No ONVIF or NVR or NAS capability. Dirt cheap. Wonder how long those motors last.
sonic30101 Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 I think you can reflash for onvif but agreed on the gears
Matt Lowe Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 super cheap kinda worries me on something if it were critical for security. However I did alright almost 3 years on a dlink PTZ camera for $109. Used it as an outdoor camera not rated but was covered. Likely would have lasted even longer but i left it unplugged for a little too long and never rebooted correctly.
c44me Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Anyone using these and/or integrated these Wyze cams or sensors with C4? Looks like they have expanded their offerings and on V2 now with IFTT: https://www.wyze.com/shop/
lukas.polivka Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Same as Xiaomi, can be flashed with a firmware that disables the Chinese spyware/cloud, adds RTSP, ONVIF, MQTT control/events etc. Last time I tried the motorized 1080p version, the stream was really stable only up to 720p. It's fun toy to play with though. I'm planning to use it to monitor/record my bengal cats' shenanigans. https://hackernoon.com/hacking-a-25-iot-camera-to-do-more-than-its-worth-41a8d4dc805c Also be aware there are multiple generations of these cameras, each using different SoC and different firmware. So there are multiple CFW projects. https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks https://github.com/TheCrypt0/yi-hack-v4 https://github.com/anmaped/openfang/
