CFUG
Seems reasonable but why duplicate what a I/O extender can do? I know it's more money but you won't need to chase-down a driver.
dgbrown
^ Agreed. The only question that remains is whose writing the 4store Irrigation app that's ASCE compiant (standardized ET equation) including local data from all required climatic variables (solar radiation, temperature, wind, and humidity) for automatic scheduling ? Set it and forget it - self adjusting irrigation.
CFUG
^Yes, that would make for a very complete system. I keep forgetting that there are C4 users into farming (joke there...)

I don't think you need to be a farmer to care about this stuff, particularly in areas where water is in shortage and going up in price as a result. Are there any comprehensive options with Control 4 to use with decent irrigation controlers? Did this orbit product ever get off the ground with control 4 integration?http://www.orbitonline.com/press/pressdetail.cfm?PR=
