s1gnal
Hey all,Quick question: did the old HTC1-B support USB 2.0, or are the USB ports running an earlier protocol?
RyanE
I don't think it's USB 2.0.RyanE
s1gnal
Thanks, Ryan. So, if that is the case, do you think the performance would be terrible if I tried to use an external Hard Drive connected to the HTC1-B as an audio source? I'd imagine it might be better to use a network drive as opposed to USB for this particular device, given its lack of processing power and USB speed.Just curious to hear your thoughts... RyanE
It's typically OK for audio, as audio bitrates are not all that high. It's definitely NOT recommended to try and use a USB-connected hard drive on a Control4 controller to stream video.RyanE
