cant see main controller

Hi - trying to figure out the C4 system at a new home, a technician came out today but couldn't see the main controller / director (HC-800) when we looked on composer and the system manager. It did see the HC-300 and an EA-1, which are both controlled by the HC-800. Is there a way it can be hidden and found?

So a technician can’t find the HC800? Is this a C4 technician? Reset the controller!

Network reset, the previous network in the house is probably a difference IP scheme
