Apple TV 4K

Recommended Posts

I’m on OS 3.12. I use and love my Rokus. However, for my media room I would like Atmos as often as I can have it and ATV seems across the mists to support more Atmos titles (tracks) from the providers than anything else steaming at the moment.

1. Would there be a reason to need anything beyond 32gb of storage for my ATV? I only stream. No local content.

2. I know it’s been asked and answered (mostly by me), but will I be able to do mini apps with either a free or paid driver. Do I need IRUSB?

3. I’ve read so much about issues with ATV breaking often with Apple OS’s being pushed. Am I okay here?

Thanks and sorry if it’s been answered, just seems to be so much conflicting info.

2. Dude I am sorry but we answered this question like 3x there is no mini apps for Apple TV

3. Stay on non beta Apple TV os will be fine

1.  Thanks Mitch.

2.  For whatever reason, I thought there was a 3rd party driver that was able to launch ATV mini apps.  It might have been older?  I remember IRUSB being mentioned in the third party driver literature.  But you would know, so Thank you sir.  I'll just add an ATV 4K and use Roku to launch mini apps unless I want something that streams the Atmos track, simple enough.  Others have suggested Shield, but from what I read, Shield still doesn't do Netflix in Atmos.

3.  Good news.
