Dimmers: When LED attached is unchecked.....

My dealer has mentioned a bug to me and I'm wondering if he is right.

When he unchecked the 'LED Attached' in System Design for any dimmer, so that he could do custom programming on the LEDs, it doesn't allow custom programming as it's supposed to. Only when 'LED Attached' is checked will the LEDs respond to programming.

EDIT:

In reading through the forum someone suggests that when the LED Attached is unchecked the the LEDs are programmable for the OFF color only. We tried this and it is not the case. There is a bug. Once LED Attached is unchecked you cannot alter the colors of the LEDs at all.

Is there truth to this bug? I'm on 1.82

It only seems to affect the LEDs on my 6-button keypads. The switches and dimmer's LED corresponds to programming fine.

Is there a particular trick to it to program LED colors? particularly the 6-button keypads

I'm trying to program the LED color to change to teal if double clicked or Red if tripple clicked and then go black after 10 seconds.

The program executes fine but not the LED change in colors. HELP

I found this to work for me for changing LED colors, Thanks to urbanmark... Here a link to thread.... http://www.c4forums.com/viewtopic.php?id=5476

I have also tried setting it up this way... Nothing happen with the leds..

I use your second method (programming under the security system status) with one small difference and it works for me. Instead of selecting LED On or LED Off' date=' use [b']Current color. For example...

Instead of:

When Theater Room->Security System has been armed to Home

->Set LED: 6 on color to Red on Theater room-->6-Button 2nd Floor

Try:

When Theater Room->Security System has been armed to Home

->Set LED: 6 current color to Red on Theater room-->6-Button 2nd Floor

Hope that helps...
