akg4y Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I just bought an LG 60PS60 ($1040 after rebates!) 60" plasma. My dealer did a quick check and apparently there isnt a specific driver for this TV but there is one for a similar LG TV that will probably work. Can anyone confirm this and does anyone know what functions will or will not work? Hopefully a few people picked up this TV with the Sears deal so maybe a driver will be developed soon.Unfortunately my dealer is at CEDIA and since I swapped out the TV with my old one I cant control everything with my remote until he gets back and has a chance to work on it, so it wont be functional for the big party we are having this weekend... big bummer.
thecodeman Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 What specifically are you doing with the tv? Most of the time we're just controlling on/off.
akg4y Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 The most pressing need is to change inputs from HDMI to RGB when I go from satellite to Mac Mini (just temporary until C4 media player comes out). Bonuses would be being able to access the menu and navigate through it, but I can just do that with the TV remote when needed. Turning on the energy saver mode would be the last thing.
RyanE Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Typically, 'family' drivers for one manufacturer and line will work across the entire line, independent of size, and sometimes, independent of line within a manufacturer.RyanE
thecodeman Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Your dealer can try it and if it doesn't work just learn the missing codes.
