im123456
Will the 10.5" touchscreen ever be able to handle WPA passwords? WEP is horrible and a big security concern in my system. I know the specs say WEP but any chance of a software upgrade to change this or is it the wifi chip? Thanks.

Matt
WPA can be just as hacked as WEP. Run 1, wep and hide your SSID. ...or purchase a portable 7" which supports WPA.
im123456
It's more of an issue of entering in passwords with WEP and WPA. Using an apple time capsule for routing and some devices (computers) don't always play nice with the apple WEP and you end up using the equivalent password to type things in, etc... Much smoother with WPA. Wish the 7" was out when we bought the 10.5s...
str1der
Well what's really needed is WPA2 which uses AES. That would take new hardware though. The other problem with WEP is the amount of overhead it takes compared to WPA2.
