tebery
Has anyone heard of and ceiling fan companies that are going to embed zibee pro or C4 control into their fans? Seems like a no brainer. I would much rather have speed control thru C4 than be able to control the system from my Panasonic phone
thecodeman
Not yet but with the upcoming zigbee pro sdk it's much more likely now. Just takes a mfg company to take the time to do it. We will no longer have to wait for C4 to do it.
nvgvup
yeeeeeeesssss! I have been waiting for 2 years for this exact thing when I first read about zigbee and z-wave I looked up at my fan and that is the thing I most wanted it to control. Really I can't think of any automation scenes that I'd want with it I just want to be able to control it with my home theater remote (I've already got seperate remotes)
thecodeman
I've already seen a company with Zigbee fan control for cooling equipment racks (BoraGear - www.boragear.com), they are just waiting on the SDK. I don't see how it could be more difficult for a regular fan.
