thecodeman Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Intelix has a new HDMI matrix they were showing at CEDIA. It's 8 inputs and 8 outputs, with HDMI or CAT (for use with optional baluns) as the output options.Pros: HDMI outs and CAT outputs are mirrored, similar to Zektor's compoent switch.Auto negotiation with displays for resolution/refresh rates, allowing different displays to be used.RS232 & ethernet control (C4 driver status is not known at this time)Two receiver options, one for 1080i no power required, the other for 1080p & IR requires power. 1080p up to 100', 1080i up to 150'.The company makes a lot of other neat little baluns, converters, and widgets.HDMI 1.3b & HDCP compliantCons: Price - $7000 MSRP for the matrix.IR pass through when using the baluns (2x cat cables required for either balun), but its from the display to the source, backwards for what Control4 users need.http://www.intelix.com/products/digihdmi8x8.htm
ILoveC4 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Cons: Price - $7000 MSRP for the matrix.IR pass through when using the baluns (2x cat cables required for either balun), but its from the display to the source, backwards for what Control4 users need.$7000! That, the requirement of 2 cat cables, and the backwards IR makes Just Add Power solution about 10x more attractive than this.
