tebery Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Does anyone know if Control4 is (will be) having a trade-in program to upgrade to the sr-250's?
thecodeman Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Yes, we sent out an email blast for our customers letting them know about the trade-in. There's credit available for controllers, touchpanels, and remotes. The remote credit is $50 off msrp for an SR-250.
JFR Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Thats great news. Could you share the other credit amounts as well? I'm looking to upgrade when 2.0 is out as well! Thanks,JFR
ILoveC4 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 thecodeman - is that upgrade program something that SOHO Shop is doing, or that Control4 is doing?EDIT: Fix Typo.
slemay Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 This is a program Control4 is doing... - Trade in a Mini Touch Screen (3.8") and get a $200 discount off of the cost of a 7" Touch Screen.- Trade in a v1 or v2 remote and get $50 off the cost of an SR-250 remote.- Trade in a HTC or MC and get $100 off the cost of an HC-300.Promo is good until 12/31/09 - and you MUST turn in the used equipment in order to receive the discount.

tebery Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Can the MC trade in be used for an hc-1000?
tebery Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 haha. Keep dreaming...I meant the $100, not a even trade!
ILoveC4 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 haha. Keep dreaming...Are you serious Matt? There is no need to make fun of him. If C4 has created a program to help get rid of older equipment (as it appears they have), it is a perfectly logical question. It's not like he's asking for a straight across trade. I would think as a Control4 employee you would try to not antagonize clients.
thecodeman Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Can the MC trade in be used for an hc-1000?It's not on the official trade-in list, but some dealers might work a deal with you. Ask around, it couldn't hurt.

RyanE Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Just as a reminder, Matt's participation (and mine) on these forums are not sponsored by, compensated for, or always influenced by our being employees of Control4.We don't speak officially for Control4 on the forums.I think we both pretty much speak our minds, so if we've offended you, sorry about that, but I don't see anything above that's worth getting offended over. Speaking for myself, I consider many on these forums as friends, with whom I'd joke around and kid, and that's the manner I'd take the above 'keep dreaming' post.Cheers,RyanE

ThanksIncorrect. The 10-button LCD Keypad (ZigBee version) does not work in 1.8, as the ZigBee driver was not complete, but current plans are for there to be a working ZigBee Pro driver for the 10-button LCD Keypad in 2.0.RyanE

You may visit the following wiki for additional information pertaining to jokes:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joke I do agree that it would be awesome to provide a solution for an upgrade process, possibly a HC-500 but not a HC-1000. rchawla80 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 How much should the new SR-250 cost retail? And reasonbly from a dealer? New?I am seeing a few on Ebay but do not know what I should "bid" ... ???Thanks everyone.
jberger Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 If you buy off ebay, you will not get a warranty from Control4. Find a dealer in your local area, they can supply the equipment, warranty coverage, and most importantly expertise and programming help.
