thecodeman
Thanks everyone for your help. So I should just throw Homelink out the door. Okay, how about having a FOB on your key chain that detects the door and opens it? Can we do that? A proximity sensor? You can do that with RFID now, but I dont know of any applications into Control4. lippavisual
https://secure.homelink.com/shop/shop.taf - Garage Door OpenersThis link to the product will provide you the connection that you need for the buttons on your cars. It has a contact output that would need to be wired back to your controller or contact/relay extender. Learn/program the buttons on your car to this device. Then in programming, when contact closes, do xxxxx.I personally haven't done this myself but have spoken to support about the way I would install it and received the OK in operation.Hope this helps. Also not sure how many of the garage openers you would need for each car. Call the support line, they are very helpful.I would say that it would most likely be cheaper to get the CA remote and run an IR line to the gate. RyanE
Yeah, this is the same as I proposed in the 4th reply to the original post.*Should* work, but like you, I haven't actually tried it.RyanE
rchawla80
Thank you all for the response. But this is not a garage that I need to open. But a electric gate with IR signalled remote. Can this still be done with this device? Thanks again!
