seattlebuck
I've had Control 4 systems over the years in 4 different homes and always have issues with the remotes. I've found that batteries don't last long and that sometimes they corrode. When this happens vinegar and a q-tip seem to work. This time I have a 4 year old remote that hasn't had any corrosion, but even though I've tried numerous set of new batteries, I still can't get the remote the load. Any ideas? Thanks. chopedogg88
try stretching out the metal contacts where the batteries meet the remote.
Cyknight
I've found 'dead remotes' often times have springs that get caught in themselves - usually just some wriggling and pushing with a slim pen, pensil ore similar item 'untangles' them. Mind you you tend to notice this because gravity will make th battery fall out (ie hold the remote up a bit with the lid open - if the batteries sag or fall out, likely the springs.
