(If you know what I mean) I have a problem where the IR "eye" on one of my devices seems to have an extremely narrow angle of view. However this might be overkill. http://www.xantech.com/Infrared/Infrared/ConnectingBlocks/79144/I have also disassembled equipment and hot glued a naked emitter to the IR receiver.
