BKGarland
Our EA3 does not show any colored (blue.red, yellow) lights when plugged in to our POE. We got a new router and hooked it up the same way, but a day later the EA3 does not work at all. Is it fixable? Is it just locked up? Can anyone help? Thank you
Nick Wanerka
Is is your EA3 powered from a poe? If so try connecting Is the regular power to it. Maybe when your router was changed, They changed the switch also.. Kind of need more information like is your router then plugged in to a core switch and then the core switch feeds the EA3? If so is it a managed force which? Maybe the Poe port was shut off for power
chopedogg88
I would recommend performing a network reset on the EA3. To reset the controller network settings to the default: 1 Disconnect power to the controller. 2 While pressing and holding the ID button on the back of the controller, reconnect power to the controller. 3 Hold the ID button until the data, link and power LEDs are solid blue, then immediately release the button. Sorry IDK what a core switch is?? Our set up is router has some direct plugged in and others is plugged to the router to the switch that has additional ports (extender maybe the proper name??). However, the EA3 is powered by POE that comes from the router.

Also, if you got a new router it could be on a different IP scheme. You'd want to do a network reset like mentioned earlier. This would only change the IP address of the EA3 though so any other device being network controlled would need to be given a new IP address as well. You're probably going to need to get a dealer involved.
Nick Wanerka
Well that might be your problem. The router is not usually a poe switch also. I have never seen a poe switch/router in one . I might be wrong but that is probably your problem. Your plugged into the router and expecting to get poe out of it and you won't

mstafford388
Seems like a terrible idea. You need a fan to cool POE, and fans fail. Now you get the added bonus of blowing up your router when that happens
