Side Loading Android Phone App onto Tablet - To get Intercom

Recommended Posts

Ok

Just installed a Fire HD to the wall with a wonderful Frame for the great cost of £110 all in - Looks Brilliant

However can we side load Android Phone app on to the tablet wo we can use the Intercom ?

We already have 4 T3 and this was to replace one that failed after 3 years

The Android app is in the Amazon store for the devices that can run the app. If it is not there, then the fireOS version is not compatible and will not run the app, even sideloaded.

The phone app and tablet app are identical.

Intercom is purposefully disabled for tablets.

Amr - We have the Linphone working like a Charm

Great u have it working fine, Mitch also had posted another app that works fine as well, I believe it was Bria can not really remember but using one app for both can be done by this resolution change.

I tried resolution change on the Lenovo Tablet (Android) and it  didn't work.  My brother in law is an Android Developer for the last 10+ years and he couldn't crack anything to get the native C4 app working on an Android tablet (with intercom features).  Not saying its NOT possible but not sure its really easy?

Broken humor detector inside you.

Also, this is in response to the post about changing the resolution on the tablet to fool c4 app into providing intercom

Well, I did it! I got this 8” Android desk phone that has the C4 app and changed the resolution, now I have Intercom working fine!
