docmd2010
Hello. I am doing motorized shades in my new home on all windows. I have two bedrooms, however that have arched transoms above the window and so a motorized shade is not really the best option, unless I put the shade on the outside of the trim and covering a rectangle of both the arched transom as well as the rectangle below it. My solution was to do a motorized curtain in this area. We are using Qmotion for all of our motorized shades however they do no make motorized curtains. What companies offer this and work well with control 4? Any ideas would be great!!

What companies offer this and work well with control 4? Any ideas would be great!! You have several options: Lutron is the best and most expensive. It integrates very, very well with Control4 and other systems. https://www.lutron.com/en-US/products/Pages/shadingsystems/sivoiaqs/windowtreatments/draperysystems/draperytradional.aspx Somfy makes excellent and somewhat more affordably priced drapery tracks and motors. They also integrate with Control4. https://www.somfysystems.com/en-us/products/shades-blinds-curtains/motorized-curtains Forest Drapery Hardware is another option. They use serial control to integrate with 3rd party control systems. They make the most attractive solutions. https://www.forestdh.com/motorized-collections Keep in mind that with Lutton and Somfy the tracks are very plain looking and may not appeal to your spouse's aesthetic sense of style. There is one company that makes expensive cover poles for the Lutron tracks. I have them in my home and they are beautiful. I sell all the options above at discount pricing specifically for the forums members here.
bdo21
Silent Gliss work well with C4 (with their smart gateway). We have Lutron shades but Silent Gliss curtains, mainly because of the smaller stack back which Silent Gliss Wave curtains can achieve. Our Silent Gliss curtain tracks are fitted flush into the ceiling so very neat. Let me know if a photo would be helpful
Cinegration
Lutron hardwired. It sets the standard for shade integration and control.
