TundraSonic
We had to redo a wall in our gym so I need to re mount the EA-1 and a few other items. Our integrator mounted the EA-1 with the ports facing up. I was taught to always have ports facing down (best) or to the side (acceptable). Thoughts? Thanks. RAV
Side or down as well, ....avoid dust and debris into jacks. TundraSonic
SMHarman
I mounted mine behind the TV that way. While dust and debris may be a thing it makes antenna placement easy and also easy to reach over the top of the TV to the power and rese5 etc.

I had a Unifi Outdoor WAP that I removed from an exterior wall to paint the wall. I just left it hanging outside, upside down, just hanging from the ethernet cable. I didn't put it back until it rained and it fried as rain got in the port.
Cyknight
I prefer side myself - less likely that connections get loose due to gravity (network isn't an issue - 3.5mm and HDMI especially can be)
Mike R
Down or side works best!
