EA3 and Spotify Connect

Eric S

Question

Hi everyone,

I just upgraded from HC250 to an EA3 yesterday and we can't get C4 Spotify Connect device to show up in Spotify App. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to resolve it? The dealer has rebooted the controller and tinkered with it to no avail. I read somewhere that this resolved for some people after a few days without them doing anything. Does that sound normal?

Thanks in advance.

Eric

You're sure your Wi-Fi is on and you're on the same network? Not that one is on a guest network and one is on the main network?

Thank you for responding and I apologize if I'm not understanding the question correctly. The installer assured me that I'm on the same network. My wifi is on, I'm using my phone with the Control4 app and Spotify App and not separate devices. I can control all my devices except Spotify Connect. Is this your question or is this something a dealer has to setup after the install?

That's the question but it doesn't really answer everything. What is your network equipment?

My dealer confirmed that Control4 is online and tied into the network. Just can't get Spotify Connect Control4 devices to show up. He is trying to come back out this week to take a look at physical connections.

I have read some stuff on here and the most common answer is just time. Give it a few day to "fix" itself. That just seems wrong. T.I.A.
