Samsung DVMS HVAC and Setpoints

Florbid

Question

Hi,

I have a samsung DVMS HVAC.  When everything is connected, I have one setpoint that the system works around.

I am however keen to set a hot and cold setpoint (as per the C4 video) that will effectively implement climate control ie if its below the min temp, heat and above the max then cool, but in between turn off.

Any advice on how I do this?

Phew! This is a big question.  I am assuming that there is a driver for this Samsung and it is single setpoint only?  Otherwise you would simply change the settings on your current driver.  Worth confirming this with your dealer.

Assuming the above, you would need to start with a different thermostat driver that supports multiple setpoints  (I use the Yatun free multiple setpoint driver for this.  This can be found on their website.  They also have a single setpoint driver so you must choose the multiple setpoint driver.)

You would then need to configure the driver properties which determines what you see and don’t see in the navigators.  Finally, you need to link this to your Samsung.  Ideally this should be done via connections but could probably be done with programming against the current thermostats.

my advice would be to involve your dealer and get his recommendations for what to do.  What you want to do is almost definitely achievable and should be fairly quick to do but it is complex.

Thanks for the response, it seems as though the reason quest is higher grade, although very much what C4 demonstrate in their sales video. My initial view is that it's something that hasn't got much depth of experience in SA.

Any idea on a contact that could assist?
