Help with my shades

Recommended Posts

I have three questions in order of priority.

Using OS 3.3 on my EA-5

1) My shades stopped working in only one room.
I'm currently using Somfy motors hardwired (not battery) and integrated with the URTSI in the Media, Dining and Living Rooms.

All shades work except the Livingroom via control4.
All shades including the ones that don't work with Control4 work with the Somfy remote.

Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot?

2nd question)
This one I'm sure is subjective but here goes:
The master and guest bedrooms have manual shades that I'm considering adding motors to.

Should I stick w/ Somfy motors because I already have the URTSI?  My installer says Gaporsa are great and definitely compete with Lutron as far as price, quality, speed and sound.  I'm guessing that would require adding another unit in addition to the URTSI.

3rd subjective question)
I'm on a slab with no attic.  Is it worth it to open the walls to get power to the new motors?  Battery powered ones appear to be more expensive, slower and louder.

Thanks everyone.

It looks like all I needed to do was reprogram the one channel on the URTSI.  Very strange and not sure how that happened.

Also decided to go w/ battery shades.  Opening up the walls could be like opening a can of worms.
