Have had c4 for about 9 years (since lightolier system was fried by lighting and not replaceable since out of business). I still depend on (current) dealer for everything (in other words I don’t know squat). Most of my audio zones have been down almost a year. My dealer had me pay to purchase a new Matrix (mine died and they said out of warranty) on December 21, 2021. (I’m guessing it is C4-16ZAMSV3-B?) I paid $2,000 plus tax. Items using specialised chips are probably more affected (the industry is still probably working out how to work around the issue). There are even car factories literally shipping cars with broken features at the moment, and customers will be expected to return to their dealership in a years time to get the chips installed. One option is if you manage to reduce the amount of zones (even slightly, like 15 -> 12), merge some of them or even split up into 2 different matrix switches (which might not be possible), it could open up more options too. You probably need to speak to your dealer though (they might be able to speak to Control4 and get one easier. Many manufacturers (even 3rd party) though are running into stock issues though. chopedogg88 Posted August 25, 2022 Share Posted August 25, 2022 I'm pretty sure your dealer is ripping you off because I've ordered and received probably 30 Triad audio matrix switches during that time. If you have 11 zones then you probably need the Triad AMS16 and a Triad 8 zone and Triad 4 zone amp. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What you are proposing, with the Triad AMS16 plus Triad 8 zone plus Triad 4 zone sounds a lot more expensive. I have already paid about $2200 for the Matrix (in December!) chopedogg88 Posted August 25, 2022 Share Posted August 25, 2022 C4-16amp3-B is a discontinued product and cannot be purchased other than used on eBay...and it only does 8 zones of audio. Video Storm makes a model if your dealer, or you know a dealer who sells Video Storm, can get it for you. its 16x16 so will cover your 11 zones. Do you need just a matrix, or matrix and amps? the old system down, what was the hardware involved? Terrified me the first time. Last time it happened I simply phoned my dealer and said I need a new power supply. (Fortunately that has been my only problem).
