My doorbell has gone mad!

I have a traditional doorbell chime, connected with an Axxess chime relay and Axxess doorbell button.  System has been working perfectly since installation in Jan '20.  Battery in the doorbell died and i replaced with a standard 1.5v AAA lithium battery (comically, I ordered the Axxess replacement battery which is 3.5V high density battery, only to learn that the 'version 2 doorbell buttons' can actually accept a 1.5v Li).  #maybetheycant? #maybeIhaveVersion1?  I made the decision to use the 1.5v Li based on looking at the sticker inside the button which said "1.5V"...

Anyhoo, since I popped the new battery in, the damn doorbell chimes every 25 minutes.  Interestingly, in my Composer HE Properties The button set to 'check-in' every 25 minutes so it appears, to my untrained eye,  that every time the doorbell button checks in, it rings the chime.

Other than popping out the old battery and popping in the new battery, I did nothing else in terms of tapping any of the reset / programming buttons on the device.

Any ideas on how to get my life back, doorbell-ically?
