Interlogix Concord 4 Question:

Recommended Posts

Q: I have a door that has a wireless sensor on it.  I would like to delete this sensor and instead use the wired sensor (reed type - 2 wire magnet) that was also at the same door but never installed during construction.

1) What do I need to do to delete the wireless sensor for the door?

2) What do I need to do to have the panel use the wired sensor (I think the wire is not connected in the panel) - is there a certain relay it needs to be on, or any open?

3) What programming steps do I need to do to get the wired sensor to be the same name, zone, etc of the previous wireless sensor.

4) Anything need to be updated in Control4 (*using the Serial Bus adapter) or will it all work automagically?

* Also, maybe I am very late to the party, but it looks like perhaps Interlogix is not totally dead and that Carrier purchased them?  Does this mean continuing parts and support?

Many thanks!

I would reference the Concord 4 installer manual available on google for adding and deleting sensor, as far as the c4 part goes it should automatically update.
