Help wiring Z210 to fireplace

Depends on the fireplace and if it has an ECM to control it? I just did this on my Heat N glo that has a brown wire the just jumps to the battery pack red wire to complete the circuit and light it up.  Looks like this is a simple power to solenoid setup but only guessing by the pic. In that case just interrupt the power to the unit with the Normally open relay on the Z2IO. Acts just like a switch in this case

not sure on the ECM but the red wire coming in with the black and red leads are just coming from a standard decora switch to turn it on and off.   I'm assuming I would connect those to the z2io - but can you tell me where?  is it the C1, C2 etc.

In that case sound like your wall switch is a simple switch with no power. Confirm that there is no voltage on the red and black wires with voltmeter.  If not voltage then you should be able to hook a wire from the relay contacts to the red and black wire terminals. verify this by using a jumper across the red and black terminals.  Again need to verify no voltage at these terminals or you will fry shit.  Recommend pulling up the wiring schematic  specific to your fireplace.
