For the same reason the Neeo is wifi: You can't transmit images over Zigbee (cover art for 'now playing', device icons, MSP icons, etc.). RAV Posted September 27, 2022 Share Posted September 27, 2022 And the Push to Talk. WiFi has it's pros and cons. You have to own the network, possibly setup exclusive SSIDs, consider AP placements, etc. But, adding bedrooms and such with WiFi remotes, means less need for secondary processors. And for houses without lighting mesh, WiFi is easier. On the other hand, don't necessarily want to manage the WiFi on a basic smart remote setup, so hoping the SR260's around for a while.
