Restoring COnnection after IAN

Prior to Ian hitting us, we were able to view our C4 cameras.  We never lost Power, but once we lost Internet, we were unable to see our C4 cameras.  THe Internet came back, but not the C4 Connection.   We no longer can connect - the screen just says "CONNECTING."

We are not at home, and will not be for another week or so.  We can't control lights or view the cameras  remotely.

Is there something that needs to be done to restore connection?

THanks

Can you see you're controller on customer.control4.com?

NO -I can only find what devices are enabled, but nothing that is a controller.   I cannot see anything on this page that can show me my cameras, or my lighting, or shades, to enable me to do or see anything.

On my phone, when I open the C4 App, it just stays on  "CONNECTING TO...My Control4 System"   and never connects.

You'll want to click on my account, then my system and make sure your controller shows that it has checked in. You won't be able to see your lights etc from the portal.

YES _ It looks like it is checked in:

  • Activated on 5/2/2018 6:12:26 PM
  • Checked-in on 10/3/2022 2:21:55 PM
  • Smart Home OS 2.10.6

A Problem is that I have had NO DEALER since 2019.   The house was a New Build, and the Builder did not pay the installer so the installer refused to provide any support.  But then that dealer went out of business.  2 other companies I've tried to hire did not want to work on the system because they could not figure out what the original installer did.

BUT - until this storm hit a few days ago, I was at least able to view cameras, lights & shades & connect to the system.   Can't connect.  I have Ring & Blink devices also & I can connect to them while away.

What model controller do you have?

Please try rebooting it.
