Speed4502
Hello, I am building a home theater for a client that wants to use the formovie theater projector. I was planning on using the Neeo remote to control all devices in the theater room, I realized that the formovie projector is controlled via bluetooth. Does the neeo/ core processor have Bluetooth control?

Speed4502
So do you have any ideas? How do I control a projector with no serial control or IR senor?
msgreenf
IP?
Speed4502
I have been reading up on the manuals and so far I haven't seen any IP control.

msgreenf
And Neeo is EOL - not sure why you are quoting that
Speed4502
EOL?
msgreenf
end of life..end of sale...
msgreenf
to be fair, its end of sale - not EOL. sorry
Speed4502
Okay so that a new topic for me I didn't know it was end of sale. what is the replacement? or are they going back to their old remotes?
sonic30101
New remotes next spring. Won't solve the control issue you are having. Need to spec a different projector
Speed4502
Well it looks like I have earc with the projector. So the receiver can at least turn it off and on.

Not a good plan. Don't mix control planes like that.
Matt Lowe
I would bet at least power is ir based. Even most of the tvs that have bluetooth remotes still rely on ir power control for energy efficiency.
Cyknight
The company very specifically states that IR is not an option. That said, the unit runs on android TV so maybe..... https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/audio-video/google-android-control4-driver-chowmain/
Amr
Yes true that’s comes with AndriodTV built in, so you have to have WiFi at least, then Chowmain driver or IrUSB with a free driver!
cshepard
You don’t know they’ve stopped making Neeo remotes & they’re end of sale, you don’t know about the new upcoming remotes, and you’re trying to integrate a system designed by a homeowner? I feel sorry for your clients.
Speed4502
Wow I didn't know this was a insult forum lol. I did not know they were end of life, but I did see on the C4 website that they were in stock again. I did not receive any info about them being end of life, but it's a good thing I asked about it before I actually installed it.
msgreenf
I corrected myself. End of sale. Not end of life
Speed4502
Has anyone else installed any short throw projector installs?
