Room Keeps Shutting Off

Recommended Posts

Good morning,

Beginning last night, C4 keeps turning off my one room, like every 15 to 20 minutes. The only thing new was that I added a Zappiti Neo to the room. My dealer added the driver a few weeks ago and yesterday, I installed the Neo and added the IP address into the driver section in HE. I can't imagine that has anything to do with the shutting off issue, but that is the only change I can think of. I am going to go through HE and see if there is anything strange programmed, but any ideas would be very much appreciated!!!

Thank you @msgreenf! I am looking at the driver properties now. There is a setting that says "Room Off After Seconds..." It was set to 30. But it wasn't turning off after 30 seconds, more like 20 minutes. What should that setting be at? 0?

It is the Chowmain driver for the Zappiti if that help. Maybe @alanchow can help.

Thanks!

I have read the documentation and really don't understand how to use this setting. Apparently, by selecting media in the Zappiti, it will turn the room on. And after a vide has stopped playing, it will turn the room off after so many seconds. Oddly, I wasn't actually playing videos, just making changes in the settings. However, I cannot find a way to turn the auto on/auto off feature off. I can select a different room and can't select no room.

Well, as I typed this, the system just turned itself back on. And I had not selected any Zappiti media to play. This is strange.

This is getting weirder. Now when I am using another device in the same room, every so often, C4 is telling my AVR to switch to the Zappiti's input and I manually have to switch it back. I am not sure what to do.

Edit - I moved this issue over the to Chowmain Zappiti driver thread, as it appears to be a specific issue more appropriate for that thread.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
